Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg is stepping up to the challenge!

Lake Chad has shrunk by 90% in our lifetimes, turning once-fertile fields into dust. But through CLWR’s Friends of Creation campaign, we can help turn that story around.

Thanks to matching funds from the Government of Canada, just $50 rescues an acre of farmland around Lake Chad—providing seeds, water, and training for families to thrive again.

We’re especially inspired as a congregation to step up to the Eastern Synod’s challenge: to help restore 10,000 acres through their 177 congregations. It’s an ambitious goal rooted in hope, compassion, and care for creation.
