St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Kitchener - Friends of Creation Challenge

St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Kitchener is growing hope—one acre at a time

Lake Chad has shrunk by 90% in our lifetimes, leaving once-fertile farmland dry and barren. But through CLWR's Friends of Creation campaign, we have an opportunity to help bring life back to the land.

Thanks to matching funds from the Government of Canada, every $50 restores one acre of farmland around Lake Chad—providing seeds, access to water, and training so families can grow food, earn a living, and care for creation once again.

Our Goal: Restore 47 acres—the same size as Victoria Park in Kitchener!

Imagine standing in Victoria Park. Picture its green spaces, winding paths, and gathering places. Now imagine that entire area transformed from dry, lifeless ground into productive farmland where families can harvest crops, feed their children, and rebuild their communities.

Every acre we restore is another step toward renewing both the land and the hope of the people who depend on it.

Please join us by making a gift, sharing this campaign, or keeping the people of the Lake Chad region in your prayers.

Together, we can help renew the face of the earth—one acre, one family, one act of love at a time.
